Astrantia maj. 'Claret'

Astrantia major 'Claret' is a dark purple-red and floriferous variety.

Screen-shaped flowers of 2 to 3 cm in size with a very fine structure are on long bare stems, sometimes with a few small leaves.

They prefer moist, calcareous, nutritious soil and partial shade and the sunnier the more moist the soil needs to be.
