Carex osh. 'Everest'

The leaves of the hardy Carex oshimensis "Everest", Dutch name is Japanese sedge, are firmer than those of the Carex oshimensis "Evergold". The growth habit of the ornamental grass is upright. The evergreen Carex oshimensis "Everest" has a bright white leaf margin and a dark green color in the center of the leaf. The deep green color and its bright white edges make it a real eye-catcher in your garden. However, the Carex oshimensis "Everest" is less conspicuous than the "Evergold". Japanese sedge "Everest" blooms from May to June. The "Everest" grows with light brown spikes. The height of the ornamental grass is a maximum of 40 cm high. This makes it a perfect ground cover for filling in empty spaces in your garden.
