Nepeta nervosa
Nepeta nervosa is a less known perennial catnip, with a bushy and clump-forming habit. The small leaves are aromatic, slightly hairy, oval, pointed, serrated and gray-green in color. This catnip blooms from July to September, with light blue, lavender, tubular flowers in loose wreaths. Nepeta nervosa prefers a sunny position and a well-drained soil. The plant is very hardy, reasonably drought tolerant and, provided some protection, can also be used well in the coastal region and in the urban environment. Nepeta attracts butterflies, bees and other flying insects.
