Gypsophila repens 'Rosea'

Gypsophila repens 'Rosea', in Dutch called creeping baby's breath, is a low-growing, semi-evergreen perennial with a bushy and carpet-forming habit. The basal leaves are small, lance-shaped, gray-green in color, the plant blooms from June to August with a veritable sea of small, star-shaped, light pink flowers. Gypsophila repens 'Rosea' likes a position in full sun and a well-drained, preferably calcareous soil, although it also does in neutral soil and slightly acidic soil. The plant is hardy, sea wind tolerant, pest free and can also handle some air pollution. This gypsophilla lures its flower carpet also numerous butterflies and bees.
