Rudbeckia occ. 'Green Wizard'

Rudbeckia occidentalis 'Green Wizard' is a very curious summer bloomer, very graphic, which can be seen from close up in the bouquets or from far below the massif. Forms long unbranched stems with long, roughly hairy leaves.

Blooms with a huge spherical and prominent black-brown cone without petals, with a wreath of fresh green petals around the bottom.

It is a strong perennial that is a must in the garden because of its long flowering period that lasts 4 months, also a good cut flower.

Even after flowering, it remains decorative throughout the winter, so it is advisable to cut it only in March.

Gives it a rich, humus, fresh to moist clay-like soil.
