Potentilla atrosanguinea

Potentilla atrosanguinea, also called blood-red goosey guinea, is a deciduous perennial with a clump-forming, herbaceous shape and three-lobed elliptical leaves. It blooms particularly profusely from June to the end of July with orange-yellow buttercup-like flowers with a dark eye. This gander likes a position in full sun or partial shade and does well in almost any soil type. In full sun, the flowers bloom earlier and the color contrast is less intense. It is very hardy, reasonably drought resistant, tolerates salty sea wind, air pollution, attracts bees and butterflies and is disease free and does not suffer from pests.
