Epimedium perralchicum 'Frohnleiten'

Epimedium perralchicum 'Frohnleiten' is called elven flower in Dutch and is a small, evergreen, ground-covering perennial with a clump-forming habit. The leaves are spiky and heart-shaped, the young leaf is bronze-colored, the summer leaf is dark green, in autumn a beautiful bronze-red leaf discoloration follows. Epimedium x perralchicum flowers in April and May with bright yellow sporeless ray flowers in loose clusters. This elven flower likes a position in the shade or partial shade and a well-drained, humus-rich soil. The plant is hardy, fairly drought tolerant, pest free and resistant to many diseases.
