Persicaria aff. 'Darjeeling Red'
Persicaria affinis "Darjeeling Red", Himalayan semi-evergreen knotweed with a creeping, ground-covering habit. The leaves are up to 15 cm long, elliptical to lanceolate, medium green to dark green and in the fall they offer a beautiful red fall color. "darjeeling red" flowers from June to September with pink, later red flowers in upright cobs. This persicaria affinis likes a position in full sun or partial shade, is ph flexible, drought tolerant but grows fastest in well-drained, moist soil. This mountain plant does well as a ground cover, tile filler, coastal plant and in the rock garden.
