Euonymus fort. 'Coloratus'

Euonymus fortunei "Coloratus" is a fast-growing cultivar with long, creeping, limp tendrils that take root easily. Compared to ivy, they climb up to 3 to 5m and crawl in the same way. As a ground cover they grow to about 50cm high and 1m wide.

The oval leaves of this cultivar are green and turn dark red in autumn. The yellow-green bloom in spring is inconspicuously followed by poisonous pink-red fruits. Not poisonous to birds.

Pruning can be done in early spring and autumn.
