Lychnis alpina

Lychnis alpina, also called cuckoo flower or alpine cuckoo flower, is a small, deciduous perennial with a rosette-forming habit and gray-green, lance-shaped, grass-like leaves. The plant blooms in May and June with bright pink to purplish pink flowers with five sepals. It likes a position in full sun and a neutral to acidic, well-drained soil. Once established, Lychnis alpina is drought tolerant, tolerates maritime climates and is well suited for rock garden or wall planting. Cuckoo flower is hardy & disease resistant.
