Leptinella potentillina

Leptinella potentillina, called pincushion plant in Dutch, is an evergreen perennial with a carpet-forming, ground-covering habit. The leaves are opposite, unevenly pinnate, obovate and bronze-green colored. Leptinella potentillina blooms in July and August with yellow-green, chartreuse-colored flowers. This plant does well in a position in full sun or partial shade and requires well-drained, moderately fertile, humus-rich soil. Leptinella is hardy and once established also drought tolerant, the plant is disease and pest free and is an ideal coastal plant.
