Lamium mac. 'Anna Green Away'

Lamium is one of the best choices for a tough yet showy perennial ground cover. This British selection forms a spreading spot of small leaves, brightly marbled with light and dark green, chartreuse and silver. Clusters of mauve-pink flowers appear in the spring and then go on and off until fall. Fairly tolerant of dry shade once established. Prune or mow back in late winter. Stems take root in the ground where they meet, and any new plants that form can be easily moved in the spring or fall.
