The Miscanthus Sinensis 'Yaku Jima' (Silver Grass) is an ornamental grass with upright, pendulous growth. The Miscanthus Sinensis 'Yaku Jima' (Silver Grass) can reach a height of 125cm. The silver-gray leaves are very narrow and turn yellow in autumn. This Splendid Grass species flowers in August and September with light purple to pink plumes that protrude above the foliage. These plumes turn from pink to silvery-white during autumn and remain on the plant until winter. This ornamental grass species is hardy and evergreen, making it a colorful addition to both your autumn and winter garden. The Miscanthus Sinensis 'Yaku Jima' is one of the lowest lasting varieties of Silver Grass and is therefore suitable for all types of (urban) gardens.
