Nymphaea 'Rose Arey'

Nymphaea "Rose Arey" is a richly flowering, lilac-pink water lily, which is especially suitable for large and medium-sized ponds. The plant has large, almost round leaves that emerge purplish-red and then slowly turn bronze-green. This water lily blooms from June to September, with large, lightly scented, star-shaped, lilac-pink flowers, with an orange-yellow center. As soon as the flower has finished flowering, it starts to sink to the bottom, after which the seeds can germinate. Nymphaea "Rose Arey" prefers a position in full sun or partial shade, a water depth of 0.40 to 1.00 meters and a nutrient-rich soil. The plant is very hardy, attracts butterflies, bees and other insects, tolerates sea wind and light brackish water and is also tolerant to air pollution.
