Cheilanthes lanosa

Cheilanthes lanosa is a very beautiful small fern with striking bipinnate leaves, especially because of the woolly gray hairy underside. The purple leaf stem also stands out nicely.

Requires a warm dry spot and does very well in rock gardens or between the joints of dry stone walls.

An exception between the fern because they require a sunny to semi-sun spot in the garden with a preference for loose sandy rock garden.
