Rosa rugosa 'Alba'

Rosa rugosa 'Alba', flowers from May to September, sometimes until the end of November. The flowers are up to 10 cm in size with a golden heart, single and pure white with overlapping petals. Fragrant. The dark green leaves show a beautiful golden yellow autumn color and are attached to sturdy branches with small spines. The old branches are best pruned back regularly. Rosa rugosa 'Alba' is a beautiful rose with a striking appearance that is enhanced by the bright red hips and the beautiful autumn color. A place in full sun is recommended, but they also do well in partial shade. It can tolerate poor soils and extreme conditions well. Requires a spacious site as the stems form many underground outgrowths. Also well suited for rose hedges.
