Spiraea arguta

Spiraea x arguta, also called muscle shrub or snow spirea in Dutch, is a not too large deciduous ornamental shrub with a dense upright shape and slightly overhanging branches. The fresh green leaves are elongated, narrow, almost lanceolate and usually have a smooth edge. From April to May, the snowsweet blooms profusely with bright white flowers in fine spherical umbels. This spirea likes a sunny to slightly shaded position in a well-permeable cool and moist soil. This plant is hardy, tolerates sea wind and air pollution and, in addition to the sea of flowers in spring, also offers a beautiful orange-red leaf coloring in autumn
