The basal leaves are small, lance-shaped, gray-green in color, the plant blooms from June to August with a veritable sea of small, star-shaped, white flowers. The plant is hardy, sea wind tolerant, pest free and can also handle some air pollution. This gypsophilla lures its flower carpet also numerous butterflies and bees.
