Glechoma hed. 'Variegata'
Glechoma hederacea 'Variegata' is a variegated cultivar of the common ground ivy that we sometimes see quite aggressively at work in the garden. The plant is evergreen, covering ground and fast growing, the leaves are variegated, gray-green with ivory-white edges. Variegated ground ivy flowers from April to early June with tiny violet-blue lipped buds that attract butterflies and bees. This plant likes partial shade and does well in any well-drained soil, it is a good ground cover and also suitable for hanging baskets and flower boxes. It is very hardy, once established drought resistant, fairly sea wind and air pollution tolerant and has few diseases or pests.
