Hydrangea paniculata 'Phantom' is a wide, bushy, upright panicle hydrangea. This rather small panicle hydrangea blooms from the end of July to September with fairly large and wide flower panicles that bloom pink in late summer. The leaves are narrow ovate, dark green, toothed and gray-green on the underside. This panicle hydrangea likes a position in full sun or filtered sunlight. It also flowers on annual wood and can be pruned back firmly in early spring to maintain a bushy shape. It prefers a slightly acidic moist soil, is particularly hardy, attracts butterflies and bees. Also decorative in autumn and can also be planted on the coast, because it is tolerant of sea wind.
