A garden can be utilitarian in nature, a vegetable garden, scientific, a botanical garden, allotment garden or a decorative ornamental garden. The beautiful rose-red anthers are also not to be missed. The leaves are more purple-bronze in color when they open, then turn bright green and change to golden-yellow hues again in the fall. Small black fruit nuts appear in late summer. The Corylopsis pauciflora does well in neutral to acidic soil that retains moisture well and is rich in humus. The plant is hardy but needs to be protected against cold winds in the spring (for the flowers).

Allium ursinum
A white ground covering bulbous plant with a strong onion / garlic scent but a softer taste.
The plants have only 2 leaves and can be confused with the lily of the valley, which smells clearly of garlic (beware lily of the valley is poisonous).
The best time to harvest is early May for flowering, when the plants have the most aroma. Then the plant disappears underground, only to emerge again in March the next year.
Needs a moist shady spot but still does well in full sun.
Let the leaves die, because this bulb uses up its food reserves.
Only use fresh leaves, with vegetables, potatoes, salads, soft cheese, gratins, soups, risotto.
