Someone who creates and maintains a garden professionally is called a gardener or gardener. De vele sprookjesachtige, op lampionnen lijkende rode knoppen en de rode bloem stengels met zuiver witte bloemen maken van de bloei een feest. Het donkergroene ruwe blad en de compacte struikvorm geven de plant daarna blijvende waarde. Meestal is ze probleemloos winterhard.

Cistus pulverulentus is a colorful shrub that grows to a height of about 80 cm. From June to August, this garden plant always blooms with new flowers, which bloom for a few days. The flowers consist of five petals around the yellow stamens. The leaf is green-gray and slightly hairy. The Rock Rose retains its leaves in winter.

Cistus salviifolius
Cistus salviifolius is native to the Mediterranean region.
It is a low, broad-growing shrub, richly branched and bushy with grey-green softly hairy aromatic leaves.
Flowers are white with conspicuous yellow stamens. Petals are not crumpled like the other rock roses.
Only bloom one day at a time, but so many flowers bloom every day that the plant is never without.
Tolerates calcareous soils well but is moderately hardy (-5/-10°C)

Cistus x skanbergii has lanceolate leaves, green and gray hairs.
Flowers have 5 paper-like, crepe-like, soft salmon pink petals with conspicuous yellow stamens.
Prefer a dry, warm and sunny spot but also do well in normally moist soil.
Moderately hardy (-10°C), it is best to protect the plant against frost and protect plants from cold wind.
Prune lightly after flowering.

Clerodendrum bungei
Clerodendrum bungei, this semi-evergreen to deciduous ornamental shrub, also known as wreath tree, originates from southern China and India. It doesn't grow much higher than 2 meters with us and surprises everyone with its large light pink to purple-red flowers that brighten up the autumn with a strong scent. This late-flowering clerodendrum is the least hardy of its kind. A sheltered place on the south or against a warm wall is therefore recommended.

Convolvulus cneorum
Convolvulus cneorum or silver bindweed is a graceful little shrub from the Mediterranean region, where it feels at home on the rocky coasts. However, this evergreen shrub is sensitive to frost and deserves good winter protection and a sheltered location. From June to September, white flowers with a yellow center embellish the beautiful silver-grey and hairy leaves. Convolvulus likes calcareous, poor soil and can handle dry conditions quite well.

Cornus alba 'Baton Rouge'

The most decorative on the bush are the striking red bare branches in the fall and winter.

Cornus alba 'Sibirica Variegata'
Cornus alba 'sibirica' is a dogwood native to Siberia, it is a deciduous shrub that can grow up to 3 m high and is notable for its bright red twigs in winter and leaf discoloration in autumn. Cornus alba likes acidic and moist soil and does well in full sun to partial shade. Given its origin (Siberia), it is a very hardy shrub. Pruning can be done in the spring before the buds emerge, usually the plant is pruned back completely, but if you want to see flowers and berries, prune back 1/3 to 1/4 of the old branches.
