Cornus florida
Cornus florida or American dogwood is a medium-sized shrub from the east of the USA, which first grows fairly upright and later spreads wide and spreads out. This dogwood blooms profusely with yellow-green fertile flowers surrounded by large white bracts that bloom to pink in late summer and autumn. The leaves are glossy, oval, dark green on top and lighter on the underside, in autumn they take on beautiful orange-red to purple-red autumn colours. The Cornus florida is an elegant plant with landscape value for the larger garden or park planting.

Cornus kousa, also called Japanese or Chinese dogwood, is a medium-sized deciduous shrub that grows vase-shaped in its young years and later grows more round and horizontal. Cornus mas
Cornus mas or the yellow dogwood is a small to medium sized tree or shrub native to much of central and southern Europe and western Asia. It blooms early in the spring with a sea of yellow flowers on the bare wood, after flowering small cherry-like fruits (hence the name 'cornelian cherry') develop that turn a beautiful red and are edible. Corylopsis pauciflora
Corylopsis pauciflora is a medium-sized deciduous shrub that grows fairly broadly and steals the show in spring with its pretty pale yellow flowers, which hang from the twigs in clusters of 3 to 4. The beautiful rose-red anthers are also not to be missed. The leaves are more purple-bronze in color when they open, then turn bright green and change to golden-yellow hues again in the fall.
