Fragaria vesca is a deciduous, ground cover ornamental strawberry. It is a bushy, low-growing perennial with coarse-toothed mid-green, three-part leaves. this wild strawberry blooms from May to September with white flowers with a yellow heart and produces dark red, sweet edible fruits in summer. Fragaria vesca prefers a position in full sun or partial shade and does well in any well-drained, not too poor soil. This plant is hardy, fairly drought tolerant and is not very sensitive to diseases or pests.
