Euphorbia characias

Euphorbia characias, called spurge in Dutch, is a robust architectural perennial with an upright clumping habit and attractive grey-green lanceolate leaves and abundant green-yellow, chartreuse-colored flowers from May to October. This spurge likes a position in full sun and prefers a calcareous soil, but it also tolerates neutral to slightly acidic soil. Euphorbia characias is moderate to moderately hardy, can withstand some drought, is sea wind and salt tolerant and tolerates air pollution.
