Eupatorium rug. 'Chocolate'
Eupatorium rugosum 'Chocolate' is a fairly robust, bushy upright perennial with lance-shaped, toothed, brown-green, almost chocolate-colored leaves on purple stems. In Dutch the plant is called white liverwort or royal herb. This eupatorium flowers from August to September with small white flower heads (per 15) grouped in flattened flower panicles. Liverwort likes a position in partial shade and does well in any sufficiently fertile, well-drained and moist soil, the plant is very hardy, attracts butterflies and bees and tolerates sea wind and air pollution. In addition, this eupatorium is disease and pest free and can also be used as a cut flower or for the dry bouquet.
