Thalictrum delavayi

Thalictrum delavayi is called Chinese diamond in Dutch. It is a deciduous perennial with a strongly upright, columnar habit and attractive, blue-green, venus hair-like, pinnate leaves. Chinese diamond flowers from June to September with abundant open flower panicles consisting of purple-pink to lilac-pink flowers. These are only 2 cm tall and have striking, creamy white stamens. Thalictrum delavayi likes a sheltered position in partial shade and a moist, well-drained soil.
