Anemone nemorosa

Anemone nemorosa or forest anemone is a native deciduous perennial with a clump-forming upright habit and roughly toothed, deeply lobed, dark green to medium green leaves that are slightly fluffy on top and felty on the underside. This woodland anemone blooms from March to June with white single flowers. It likes a position in partial shade or shade and well-drained soil, once established it can handle a bit more drought. The wood anemone is at home in the perennial border, the forest edge or shade garden.
