Salix integra "Hakuro Nishiki" also called Japanese ornamental willow or Japanese weeping willow is a very popular small to medium-sized deciduous shrub or tree with an upright shape and branches in all directions, later weeping. The small lanceolate leaves are pink in spring and later turn creamy white green. It likes a position in full sun or partial shade and prefers a soil with a neutral acidity. The Salix integra "Hakuro Nishiki" is hardy, requires little maintenance, is tolerant of sea wind and air pollution, attracts bees and butterflies and can also be used as a container plant or for an informal hedge.
