Carex pendula

Carex pendula is called hanging sedge in English and is a large, evergreen grass with overhanging, glossy dark green to blue-green grass-like leaves. This hanging sedge flowers from May to July with striking green-brown, hanging flower spikes. This grass prefers a position in full sun or partial shade and a well-moist soil. The plant is moderately drought tolerant, tolerates sea wind and air pollution and is hardy.
