Hosta sieb. 'Elegans'

Hosta sieboldiana 'elegans' is a very large but slow growing heart lily with a broadly spreading, pol-forming habit. The attractive, heart-shaped blue-green leaves are thick and heavily ribbed. This hosta blooms in July and August with lilac-white funnel-shaped flowers on upright flower stems. hosta sieboldiana prefers a position in partial shade or shade. It prefers fertile, well-drained and moist soil. This hosta is very hardy, tolerant of sea wind, tolerates air pollution reasonably well and is generally disease free. Often used in partial shade borders, shade borders and Japanese gardens.
