Helianthus salicifolius

Helianthus salicifolius is a deciduous perennial sunflower with a bushy upright shape. The leaves are medium green, lanceolate, willow-like. This sunflower blooms in favorable conditions from July to October with medium-sized, lemon-yellow flowers with a brown center. Helianthus likes a sunny position and a well-drained, moderately fertile neutral to alkaline soil. The plant is hardy, tolerant of sea wind and air pollution, attracts many bees and butterflies and is a grateful summer and autumn bloomer. Can be used in borders, group plantings, informal gardens, urban gardens and as a cut flower.
