Hosta 'Blue Cadet'

Hosta 'Blue Cadet' is a medium-sized blue-green heart lily with a clump-forming habit, this deciduous perennial has attractive, thick, blue-green, heart-shaped leaves and blooms in July and August with lavender-colored bell-shaped flowers on long upright flower stems. Hosta 'Blue Cadet' prefers a position in partial shade, but can also withstand full sun if sufficiently moist soil, it prefers fertile, well-drained and moist soil. This hosta is very hardy, tolerant to sea wind, tolerates air pollution reasonably well and is generally disease free and reasonably resistant to snails. Often used in the shade garden, partial shade border and Japanese gardens.
