Phlox subulata 'McDaniel's Cushion' is an evergreen flame flower with a compact, turf-forming and ground-covering habit and dark green, elongated, almost needle-like leaves. This phlox blooms from April to June with pink, light-scented, star-shaped flowers with a crimson-red eye. It likes a position in full sun and a very well drained, fertile soil. This phlox is ph flexible. Phlox 'McDaniel's Cushion' is hardy, drought tolerant and generally pest free. Vlambloem is tolerant of air pollution.
