Helianthemum 'Lawrenson's Pink' is a short-lived evergreen perennial or semi-shrub. The plant is low-growing, carpet-forming with an almost creeping habit. The leaves are elongated, narrow, gray-green, slightly hairy and smooth-edged. This rock rose blooms from June to August with single soft pink flowers with a yellow to orange-yellow center. . Helianthemum likes a sunny position and preferably calcareous, well-drained soil, once established the plant is fairly drought tolerant and also works as a coastal plant and in the urban environment. In case of severe frost in winter or early spring, cover the helianthemum with fir branches or fleece.
