Helenium 'Moerheim Beauty'

Helenium 'Moerheim Beauty' is a deciduous perennial with a columnar upright habit and single lance-shaped, slightly hairy leaves. The popular Dutch name is sunflower, the plant blooms from June to September with reddish-brown sometimes almost rust-colored orange-red, magrite-like flowers with a diameter of 6-8 cm. Helenium does well in any well-drained and slightly moist soil and likes a position in full sun. Helenium is hardy, attracts many butterflies, bees and others. Insects and generally has few problems with vermin, although young plants can sometimes suffer from snail damage. This is an ideal plant for group planting in the mixed border.
