Glechoma hederacea

Although small, the blue-purple flowers of Ground Trot are noticeable quickly. The species is one of the forty most common plant species in our vegetation. The flowers are symmetrical on both sides and clearly of the Lip flower type. They have a fused chalice with five teeth and a fused crown. In the crown, the four stamens and style with stamps lie at the bottom of the upper lip. The flowers are visited by bees and bumblebees. The leaves are opposite each other on the square stems and have a serrated edge.
