A chocolate-scented flower with a beautiful dark red-purple to black color.

After flowering, cut the faded flowers to prolong the flowering.

The stem is reddish brown and the leaf green.

Plant it in fertile soil, moist but well-drained.

In Mexico, where it comes from, it is a perennial, but with our climate it is more of an annual.

It likes a warm sunny place, well covered in winter or even better, takes it out of the ground and keeps it like a Dahlia tuber.
