Calamintha nep. 'Nepeta'

Calamintha nepeta ssp. nepeta or mountain rock thyme in english is a deciduous aromatic perennial with a bushy, broad habit. The leaves are gray-green, aromatic, fine-toothed, ovoid and about 3 cm in size. From July to September this mountain thyme flowers in a loose, airy way with purple-pink to lilac-blue flowers grouped in clusters of 15 flowers. This plant likes a position in full sun or partial shade and does well in almost any well-drained soil. Calamintha nepeta is hardy, tolerant of sea wind, tolerates air pollution well.
