Tulbaghia violacea 'Alba' is native to South Africa and has umbels of white flowers. At night the flowers smell of honey.

The grey-green leaves are aromatic and edible, smelling of garlic when bruised.

The tubers are also edible, they taste like garlic, but you don't get bad breath after eating.
