Juncus inflexus

Juncus inflexus, called sea-green rus in Dutch, is an evergreen perennial plant widespread in Europe. this sea-green rus has round to oval, stiff upright gray-green, leafless stems with brown-red to purple-red sheaths without a leaf blade at the stem base. Juncus inflexus blooms during the summer with loose, brown-red flower panicles. it likes a position in full sun or light shade and a slightly acidic to neutral, moist to wet soil, once the plant is well established it can also tolerate temporary drought well. Sea green russet is hardy, tolerates sea breeze, salt, air pollution, is pest free and has few problems with diseases.
