Blooms until the end of summer with numerous compound violet-purple flowers.

Withstands harsh winters and hot summers without weakening, accepts all types of cool, rich soils, preferably neither too dry nor too heavy.

Only flowers late in summer and can best be combined with less heavy perennials such as Solidago, Physostegia, asters, Rudbeckia, ...

Divide in the spring.
