Rhododendron 'Blue Tit'

Rhododendron 'Blue Tit' is a small evergreen rodo with a bushy, compact dwarf shape. The leaves are small, glossy, elliptical in shape with a dark green leaf color with a lighter underside. This rhodo blooms as early as April and May with small funnel-shaped lavender-blue to purple flowers grouped by 3 or 5 in small clusters. Rhododendron prefers a location in filtered sunlight or partial shade, sheltered from harsh winds and with a shaded root zone. It requires an acidic, moist, well-drained soil that should never be allowed to dry out completely, requires little pruning and is hardy, although the flowers are more sensitive to frost.
