This evergreen, popular ground cover has glossy, up to 7 cm large, obovate and coarsely serrated leaves, which are dark green in partial shade or shade and in more sunny places, turn yellowish, light green. Pachysandra blooms from March to May, with scented, small, white flowers in terminal umbels. Pachysandra terminalis likes a position in partial shade or deep shade and does well in any soil that is not too limy.
