Achillea mil. 'Red Velvet'

Achillea millefolium "Red Velvet" is a small to medium-sized deciduous yarrow with a vigorous carpet-forming habit. The leaves are fern-like, light green and aromatic. It blooms from June to September with flat velvet red to pink-red flower umbels. This giant leaf prefers a position in full sun, in a well-permeable soil, it is very flexible in terms of soil type, but cannot tolerate heavy (wet) clay. Achillea "red velvet" is very hardy, attracts butterflies and bees, is drought tolerant and also tolerates sea wind and air pollution well.
