Sempervivum arachnoideum

Sempervivum arachnoideum, also called spider web house look, is an evergreen succulent with a carpet-forming, ground-covering habit and particularly attractive, rosette-forming, fleshy, green to red-colored oval leaves with a spider-web-like, hairy, white center. Sempervivum arachnoideum is a real summer bloomer, in July and August it blooms with pink, star-shaped flowers that rise up to 12 cm above the rosette. After flowering, this rosette dies. Spiderweb house look likes a sunny position in well-drained, not too fertile, dry soil. The plant is hardy, tolerates sea wind and air pollution and is very drought tolerant. The plant is suitable for wall planting, flower boxes, rock gardens and gravel gardens.
