Hydrangea macr. 'Masja'

Red-pink to purple-purple flowers in spherical shape.

By treatment with alum they turn blue (with aluminum in the soil), the flowers also turn darker pink or greener in autumn.

Flower bulbs can be dried.

The plant is completely hardy, but the flower buds can freeze in late frosts. That is why it is good to leave the dried flowers until mid-May.

But be careful because the new buds are just below the withered flower, so don't prune too far.

You can remove the dead branches earlier.
