Persicaria aff. 'Superba'
Persicaria affinis "Superba", semi-evergreen knotweed from the Himalayas with a creeping, ground-covering habit. The leaves are up to 15 cm long, elliptical to lanceolate, medium green to dark green and in the fall they offer a beautiful bronze color. "superba" flowers from the end of July to October with first pink, later red and then brown flowers in upright cobs. This persicaria affinis likes a position in full sun or partial shade, is ph flexible, drought tolerant, but grows fastest in well-drained, moist soil. This mountain plant does well as a ground cover, tile filler, coastal plant and in the rock garden.
