Paeonia lact. 'Duchesse De Nemours'

Paeonia "duchesse de nemours" is a very popular, white peony, which blooms profusely in June and July, with pleasantly scented, double, white, crown-shaped flowers, with a light yellow center and a diameter of about 15-20 cm. The dark green, lobed, pointed leaves are also attractive and turn maroon red in autumn. "duchesse de nemours" prefers a position in full sun or partial shade and thrives in any deep, well-drained, humus-rich soil. This cultivar, more than 150 years old, is hardy.
