Lychnis cor. 'Alba'

Lychnis coronaria "alba", also called needle nose, a name that it gets from the pins in the center of the flower. It is a short-lived, medium-sized, evergreen perennial with a clump-forming habit and gray-green, rough-haired, oval leaves. The plant blooms from June to August with small, fiery red flowers grouped in striking flower heads. It likes a position in full sun and a well-drained soil. Once established, this lychnis is drought tolerant, tolerates direct sea breezes perfectly and is well suited for the cottage garden and mixed border. Needle nose is hardy and disease resistant.
